Our gîtes near Carcassonne are surrounded by 1 hectare of grounds which have been laid out with various shrubberies, with one or two benches scattered around for those wanting an extra bit of peace and quiet. The front doors of all the gîtes lead to a large area under the three magnificent horse-chestnut trees that has been laid to gravel and provides a delightful sitting area, with several sets of chairs and tables, and BBQs.

It is an ideal spot to sit and read in the shade during the heat of the day and then enjoy al-fresco eating in the evening. There are lights shining up through trees, these lights coupled with the ‘up-lighters’ set in the ground in front of the house and the lovely lights along the drive create a very pleasant and subtle ambiance for enjoying the lovely, warm summer evenings.

Children are also well catered for with swings, a slide and a trampoline. There are also 2 ping-pong tables available on-site.

The swimming pool is heated, usually 26 – 28C but has been known to get to 30C! It has a tiled terrace, sun-loungers, a shaded pool house and inflatable toys etc.

We also provide beach towels – so one less item to pack!
