Introduction – Domaine Le Gabachou is an 18 th century traditional longère farmhouse that houses 4 beautiful gîtes (self-catering accommodation), the 1-hectare plot is a serene oasis in the heart of Languedoc wine country. The property has direct access to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Canal du Midi and only a 20-minute drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Cité de Carcassonne. Explore the Routes des Vins du Cabardès and de la Malepere or explore Cathar country with its villages and historic monuments. Spend hours walking around the markets at Revel or Mirepoix or just an hour down the road you can enjoy the Mediterranean coast at Narbonne and for those who are slightly more adventurous Girona in Spain is only 2.5 hours away.

Domaine Le Gabachou offers a choice of 4 wonderful gîtes – 3 in the traditional longère and the fourth attached to the old barn. Our 2 largest gîtes are approx. 1,350 sq ft with the 2 smaller gîtes approx. 750 sq ft. All have well-appointed kitchens for your home away from home feel – complete with UK FreeSat and high-speed satellite internet. Quality linen and towels (inc. pool towels) are provided on a weekly basis.

Domaine Le Gabachou offers guests shared use of the mature 1-hectare garden complete with heated pool, sun loungers and BBQs – perfect for those sunny days. For the more energetic you can walk or cycle along the canal and other voie vertes, with several bikes available for your use and electric bikes available to hire. We also have a small canal boat which you can also hire for the day and there is free-weight gym equipment and punch-bag in the barn.
